It is a 2-year full-time diploma course designed to prepare candidates to work under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist in hospitals, community pharmacies, and other pharmaceutical-related fields.

Entry requirements

Minimum qualification for admission to Diploma in Pharmacy in Lucknow

Passed in 10+2 examination (regular science academic stream) with Physics, Chemistry and Biology or Mathematics. or Any other qualification approved by the Pharmacy Council of India as equivalent to the above examination.

Course structure and modules

The duration of the course shall be for two academic years. Each academic year shall be spread over a period of not less than one hundred and eighty working days.

In addition, there shall be a 500 hours of practical training spread over a period of not less than 3 months.

Medium of instruction and examination shall be in English or Hindi as per the affiliated university or board.

How you study

A candidate is required to put in at least 80% attendance in individual subjects considering theory and practical separately. The candidate shall complete the prescribed course satisfactorily to be eligible to appear for the respective examinations.

After completion of classes a candidate has to appear in Annual Examination at the end of year along with viva examination.
