To advance the precise, safe, and effective use of medicines to improve health through innovation and leadership in pharmacy education, clinical practice and research & to promote the health and well-being of the public, locally and globally.

The Department of Pharmacy offers B.Pharm & D.Pharm programs.These program provides practical skills to budding Pharmacy professionals in synthesis of API, intermediates & analytical techniques for various Pharmaceutical dosage forms. The program also encompasses various Pharmacological Screening, Standardization, Drug Interaction, Product Detailing & Marketing of Pharmaceutical Products.The goal of the Pharmacy program is to render professional skill, knowledge, abilities to serve in pharmaceutical industries and to provide appropriate medication service to the patient. The curriculum philosophy aims to provide ability to design & evaluate various dosage forms & also provides Regulatory & Ethics to be followed in Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Processes. The academic program for B Pharm provides in-depth adequate knowledge & scientific research updates including basic principles & advances in Pharmaceutics, Pharmaceutical chemistry, Pharmacology & Phytomedicines.

Pharmacy is the health profession that links the health sciences with the chemical sciences and it is charged with ensuring the safe and effective use of pharmaceutical drugs.

The scope of pharmacy practice includes more traditional roles such as compounding and dispensing medications, and it also includes more modern services related to health care, including clinical services, reviewing medications for safety and efficacy, and providing drug information. Pharmacists, therefore, are the experts on drug therapy and are the primary health professionals who optimize medication use to provide patients with positive health outcomes. The pharmacists have vast job opportunity in various fields like pharmaceutical company /industry, hospital and community clinics, drug regulatory agencies, different health related institutes etc

With noble thought of let all be happy, let all be healthy, let all be safe, let the sorrows not come in life, I welcome you all to the Department of Pharmacy at AGI, be a part of our journey towards nation building.Health care is currently an exciting and rapidly changing times, at this juncture, there is a need for continued improvement in health care and this is achieved through research, discovering new medicines, understanding diseases, and creating new models of health care. Our Department of Pharmacy is providing service to maintain relevance and provide the best in the class training environment for students with all basic & practical skills. The department has been established with a vision to impart professional education in pharmaceutical sciences and emerge as a leading center for research on drugs and pharmaceuticals.

The department provides a promising academic environment that enables the graduation of outstanding pharmacists who are capable of designing, analysing, creating and formulating drugs that helps to heal diseases.

The department is equipped with specialized laboratories for a wide range of modern teaching experiments as per the PCI and AICTE SOP’s. Our faculty members are responsive educators having research and academic background that enables the effective delivery of our programs.

Our Department regularly arranges student visits to Pharmacy and allied industries and herbal gardens. Students are placed for training into reputed Pharmacy concerns to acquire technical skills in a real-life scenario. This further also enhances their chances of employability. My team of academic and non-teaching staff members takes every care so that our department produces competent Pharmacy professionals.

Graduates and diploma holders communicate effectively with the pharmacy community and with society at large.
